Set in the Sudden Valley community near Lake Whatcom, southeast of Bellingham, this off-leash dog park gives local dogs room to run in a forested corner of northwest Washington. The surrounding area is green and wooded, with the wet, mild climate typical of Whatcom County, so muddy paws are part of the deal much of the year. There is no charge to use the park.
