About Auggie & Lacey

The duo behind Doggie Park Near Me

Our Story

Woof! I'm Auggie, a Golden Doodle with a nose for adventure and a serious passion for dog parks. My mom Lacey and I used to spend weekends driving around trying to find new parks to explore, but we could never find a good resource that told us what to expect before we got there.

Was the park fenced? Did it have water? Would I be separated from the big dogs? (I'm a medium-sized guy, so this matters!) We were always guessing.

So Lacey said, “Why don't we build one ourselves?” And just like that, Doggie Park Near Me was born. Now we travel to dog parks, review them, and share everything we learn so you and your pup can have the best park day possible.

starExperience

It all started at our home park — the Harlingen Rotary Bark Park in South Texas. That place is seriously pawsome. Shaded areas, separate sections for big and small dogs, water stations, and the friendliest community of dog owners you'll ever meet. Lacey and I go there every chance we get, and every visit reminds us why dog parks matter so much.

The Harlingen Rotary Bark Park set the bar high for us, and it inspired everything we do here. We wanted every dog owner to have a park like that — a place where your pup can run free, make friends, and just be a dog. If you're ever in the Rio Grande Valley, do yourself a favor and take your puppy there. Trust me, they'll thank you with extra tail wags.

That love for our local park grew into a mission to help dog owners everywhere discover amazing parks in their own neighborhoods — and that's exactly what Doggie Park Near Me is all about.

schoolExpertise

Lacey has spent years researching dog behavior, park safety, and the gear that actually makes a difference. She reads the studies so I don't have to (I can't read, I'm a dog). Every product we recommend has been personally tested during our park adventures.

Our blog covers everything from first-time dog park tips to seasonal safety guides, gear reviews, and training advice — all written from real experience, not just internet research.

verifiedWhy Trust Us

We're not a faceless review site. Every recommendation comes from a real dog (me!) and a real human (Lacey) who genuinely care about making dog park visits better for everyone. We visit the parks. We use the products. We talk to other dog owners.

When we recommend something, it's because it passed the Auggie test — and trust me, I have high standards (except when it comes to treats, I'll eat anything).

databaseData Sources

Park locations and amenity details are compiled from public sources, community submissions, and OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License). Details like fencing and hours can change — always verify locally before a long trip.
