Open from dawn to dusk, Lehmann Monroe Dog Park gives Kerrville dog owners a free, public off-leash area in the heart of the Texas Hill Country west of San Antonio. The running surface here is natural grass, an easy, paw-friendly footing that suits dogs of most sizes and ages. That natural ground drains and wears differently than gravel or turf, so expect softer footing after rain and dustier conditions in a dry spell. Hill Country summers get hot, so the dawn and dusk windows are genuinely the best times to come, and water for your dog is a must.
