About the Park
Two separate runs, one for large dogs and one for small, make up this newer addition to Hoboken's dog-run network at Second and Hudson Streets, a block in from the southern waterfront. Both sections are surfaced with K9 turf rather than gravel or wood chips, which keeps paws cleaner and drains faster after rain. The city added the location after gathering public input on its dog-run system, and it serves the dense downtown blocks where most residents live in apartments without yards. Hoboken operates a handful of other runs around town, from Church Square Park to Stevens Park, but for the First and Second Street neighborhoods this corner is the closest place to legally unclip the leash.
